Christian Chukwu, one of Nigeria’s most revered football figures, passed away on Saturday at the age of 74.
Born on January 4, 1951, in Enugu State, Chukwu’s football journey began in his hometown and would go on to leave a lasting mark on the national and international stage.

Christian Chukwu grew up in Enugu, where his passion for football took root during his primary and secondary school years at Christ Church Primary School, Uwani, and National Secondary School, Nike.

3. Club Career with Enugu Rangers
