Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reiterated the party’s commitment to ensuring political stability and securing future electoral victories through strategic planning.
Speaking at the APC National Summit held at the State House banquet hall in Abuja on Thursday, Ganduje pointed to the positive developments under President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.”
He emphasized that the administration’s reform efforts are already beginning to bear fruit, noting improvements in the country’s economic indicators, oil revenue, and the growing confidence of international investors.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda is more than just a slogan; it represents a comprehensive blueprint to rebuild governance, revive the economy, and restore national pride,” Ganduje explained.
He described the agenda as a clear roadmap set by President Tinubu to reset Nigeria’s course toward sustainable growth and development. “Though the administration is still young, the impact of these reforms is visible and ongoing,” he added.
Ganduje highlighted key initiatives such as the removal of fuel subsidies, the harmonization of the foreign exchange market, and targeted interventions in agriculture and infrastructure development.
He noted that funds saved through these reforms have been redirected to critical sectors including health, education, security, and local government financing.
He also drew attention to recent social welfare measures, including the hike in the National Minimum Wage from ₦30,000 to ₦70,000, a Conditional Cash Transfer programme benefiting 15 million vulnerable households, and the rollout of the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative, which has so far converted over 100,000 vehicles with plans to convert a million more within three years.
On electoral matters, Ganduje assured that the APC is fully prepared for upcoming polls, especially the 2027 general elections, through early and focused mobilisation efforts.
“We are determined to secure victories fairly and decisively, viewing off-season elections as key opportunities to build momentum towards 2027,” he said.
The party has already commenced training for polling agents and campaign teams, equipping them with data-driven strategies to enhance effectiveness.
Ganduje also pointed to the APC’s strong showing in recent off-cycle elections as proof of its growing national acceptance.
Looking forward, he stressed the importance of grassroots mobilisation and early engagement in states like Anambra and Osun, where off-cycle elections are pending.
“We are committed to leaving no stone unturned in securing success in these contests by strengthening party structures and engaging communities at every level,” he concluded.
