Three dead, five injured in mass shooting at U.S restaurant

-

Three people lost their lives and five more were hurt in a mass shooting on Sunday night at a restaurant in Glendale, a city just 10 miles from central Phoenix.

The Glendale Police Department responded to emergency calls at approximately 7:45 p.m. and arrived to what they called a “very chaotic” scene, according to spokesperson Moroni Mendez.

Preliminary investigations suggest that multiple gunmen may have been involved in the attack.

While several individuals have been questioned, authorities have yet to arrest any suspects. No shots were fired by responding officers or private security.

Mendez assured the community that there was no immediate danger to the general public but emphasized that the investigation remains active.

This shooting adds to the growing list of mass shootings in the U.S. in 2025, with the Gun Violence Archive recording 97 such incidents this year alone.

The circumstances that led to the violence are still murky. Officials have not confirmed whether the victims had any prior relationships, and the five injured individuals were hit either by gunfire or flying debris.

“We’re not sure if these individuals knew each other or had any personal connections,” Mendez explained. “That’s part of what we’re still investigating.”

One witness described a heartbreaking moment at the scene. “I saw someone lying still,” said Rodriguez. “His father was crying out his name. It was tragic.”

Police are calling on anyone with footage, tips, or eyewitness accounts to assist in their ongoing efforts.

Cleanup and investigation at the crime scene are expected to continue for several hours.
