Arsenal center-back Gabriel Magalhaes was forced off the pitch in the 16th minute of Tuesday’s Premier League match against Fulham due to a hamstring injury.
Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed the injury, saying, “Gabi felt something in his hamstring, we don’t know how big that is.”
The injury comes at a crucial time for Arsenal, who face Everton this weekend before hosting Real Madrid in the Champions League quarterfinals.
Arteta remains optimistic, citing the team’s ability to cope with injuries throughout the season. “We want it so much that we’re going to give it a real go, and we are very excited for next week,” he said.
Gabriel’s injury adds to Arsenal’s growing defensive concerns, with Riccardo Calafiori, Ben White, and Jurrien Timber also sidelined.
