Gov. Okpebholo seeks unity after Tribunal victory

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has called on opposition parties to put political differences aside and collaborate for the state’s development.

In a statement on Wednesday, his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, emphasized the need for collective efforts to advance Edo rather than engaging in political disputes.

The governor’s appeal came after the Edo State Election Tribunal in Abuja upheld his electoral victory.

Mr. Itua reassured that the administration remains committed to delivering on its promises and will not be distracted by legal battles.

Expressing appreciation for the tribunal’s ruling, Governor Okpebholo praised the judiciary for its fairness and dedication to justice.

“I sincerely thank the tribunal for upholding the integrity of the electoral process. More importantly, I appreciate the people of Edo for their steadfast support and belief in our vision for a better state,” he stated.

He reiterated that the victory belongs to the people and serves as a mandate to push forward with good governance, transparency, and inclusive development.

“This judgment validates the democratic choice of Edo residents and reinforces our commitment to building a state where everyone can prosper,” the governor added.
