Top figures within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun East Senatorial District have expressed their backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ademola Adeleke to continue in office, endorsing their re-election bids ahead of the 2026 and 2027 elections.
The endorsement came through a statement released by the senatorial leader of the party, Akindele Famuyide, following their monthly meeting on Thursday.
Famuyide applauded the leadership and developmental efforts of both Tinubu and Adeleke, saying the decision to support them was based on a collective agreement among stakeholders in the district.
“Our endorsement of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Ademola Adeleke is rooted in their achievements in office. We believe they have delivered commendable governance and earned the people’s trust,” he said.
He highlighted President Tinubu’s efforts in boosting infrastructure and implementing economic reforms, noting that these measures are already contributing to lower food prices and improved national security.
Famuyide stressed that the move goes beyond mere political alignment, describing it as a strong signal of unity and shared purpose among PDP members in the senatorial zone.
“We are speaking with one voice. There is no internal opposition to this decision within our ranks,” he concluded.
