A member of the Ogun State Police Command, Constable Idris Oloyede, is under investigation following his arrest over suspected involvement in cyber-related crimes, theft, and conspiracy.
MCC News gathered that officers from the Anti-Kidnapping Section of the State CID in Eleweran, Abeokuta, carried out the arrest yesterday.
A senior police source revealed that Oloyede, who holds Force Number 537972 and is attached to the patrol squad at Odeda Division, was taken into custody after intelligence reports implicated him in a range of unlawful activities.
The Odeda Divisional Police Officer cooperated with the investigative team by handing over the officer without resistance.
Oloyede is now in the custody of SCID officers, who have launched a full-scale probe into the allegations.
