Popular hotel owner killed in Ondo

A devastating tragedy occurred in Ondo State as Adesoji Johnson Adeleye, the prominent owner and CEO of Klass Five Hotel, was killed early Tuesday morning at his hotel located in the Arakale area of Akure, the state capital.

Sources disclosd that Adeleye was in one of the hotel rooms when a group of suspected assassins attacked him.

It is reported that the assailants made their way into the premises and encountered Adeleye, who was awake and preparing for his day’s activities.

The attackers are believed to have overpowered Adeleye before stabbing him multiple times, leaving him lifeless in a pool of blood.

A close associate of the victim expressed disbelief, sharing that they had been together the previous night and had plans to meet again that day, only to be stunned by the tragic news.

The incident was swiftly reported to local authorities, and officers from the State Police Command arrived at the scene.

The victim’s body was transferred to the morgue, and authorities have begun questioning several individuals related to the case.

State Police Public Relations Officer, Alexander Olayinka, confirmed the incident, stating that the hotel owner was indeed murdered at his business premises.

He assured that a team of detectives had been dispatched to investigate the crime, and they were actively pursuing the culprits.

Olayinka also mentioned that the investigation had been moved to the state police headquarters for a more in-depth inquiry, with a promise to bring the perpetrators to justice.
