Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (rtd), the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, has approved fresh appointments for the leadership of the state’s Civil Service Commission and Local Government Service Commission.
The announcement was made on Wednesday through a government statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibibia Works.
Dr. Livinus Bariki will serve as the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission.
Other members appointed to the commission include Ambassador Lot Peter Egopija, Mrs. Maeve Ere Bestman, Mrs. Joy Obiaju, and Mrs. Charity Lloyd Harry.
In a similar move, Mr. Isreal N. Amadi has been appointed to head the Local Government Service Commission as Chairman.
He will be working alongside six other members: Mr. Linus Nwandem, Lady Christabel Ego, George Didia, Dr. Tonye Willie D. Pepple, Barrister Richard Ewoh, Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ofik (rtd), and Dr. Sammy Apiafi.
The newly appointed officials are expected to assume office beginning April 7, 2025.
