Kano Govt to recruit over 4,000 teachers into state civil service

-

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano has initiated the recruitment of over 4,000 trained teachers from the BESDA programme into the state’s civil service.

This development was disclosed in a statement on Monday by the governor’s media representative, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, during a flag-off ceremony for distributing instructional materials to schools across the state.

To ensure only qualified candidates are selected, the governor ordered that all applicants undergo an aptitude examination.

Those who succeed will be absorbed under the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

Governor Yusuf described the move as a reward for dedication and a critical measure to enhance the quality of education in Kano.
