Hamdiyyah Sharif, a vocal critic of Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu, has been reported missing, sparking concern over her safety.
Her lawyer, Abba Hikima, made the development public in a Facebook post on Wednesday. He revealed that Hamdiyyah was last seen around 10 a.m. on Tuesday after she left her home to buy food items in Sokoto.
Since then, she has not been heard from, and her whereabouts remain unknown.
Hikima noted that the Sokoto State Police Command has been alerted about her disappearance, and efforts are ongoing to locate her.
