The Niger State Government has announced a shift in curfew hours for commercial motorcycle and tricycle riders within Minna, the state capital.
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago confirmed that the new schedule, now running from 8 PM to 6 AM, takes effect from Monday, May 5.
The change, he said, is based on recommendations from the state’s security council after a recent review.
Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, the governor reiterated his administration’s focus on ensuring public safety while maintaining a peaceful atmosphere for economic activities.
The earlier curfew had restricted movement from 6 PM to 6 AM as part of emergency measures to tackle insecurity and gang-related incidents in the city.
