Reality TV star and influencer, Tacha, has voiced her disappointment over the way Nigerians in the UK treated her during a recent outing.
In a video shared online, the former Big Brother Naija housemate expressed her frustration, revealing that despite encountering several Nigerians, many chose to ignore her rather than acknowledge her presence.
“You won’t believe the number of Nigerians I saw today, which is great, but the crazy part is that they would see me and not say hi,” she lamented. “It’s like, you see me, but you’re not acknowledging me.”
Tacha noted a stark contrast between the reception she received from locals and that of her fellow Nigerians. She explained that while several white residents, including a high school student and an elderly man, complimented her and greeted her warmly, Nigerians seemed more interested in filming her than engaging in conversation.
“I can’t count how many white people saw me and said I looked beautiful,” she said. “Meanwhile, Nigerians who saw me simply pulled out their phones to record me instead of saying hello.”
She further issued a warning to those who might attempt to record her without acknowledging her presence.
“If you see me on the road and don’t say hi, I won’t acknowledge you either. But please, don’t just bring out your phone to record me,” she stated.
