The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a fresh cut in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, with prices now ranging from ₦875 to ₦905 per litre, depending on the region.
This latest adjustment was revealed on Thursday via the refinery’s official social media handle. It represents a ₦15 per litre reduction across all partner stations and outlets.
The new pricing is applicable to major downstream players such as MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Techno Oil, Optima Energy, and Hyde Energy.
In Lagos, the revised rate is ₦875 per litre, a drop from the previous ₦890. In areas like the North East and South-South, the price has fallen from ₦920 to ₦905 per litre.
A detailed regional breakdown lists: Lagos at ₦875, South-West at ₦885, North-West and Central at ₦895, and South-East and South-South at ₦905.
Dangote Refinery urged Nigerians to buy fuel only from affiliated outlets and to report any non-compliance using its official customer service numbers: +234 707 470 2099 and +234 707 470 2100.
The company highlighted that its petrol and diesel are engineered for enhanced engine efficiency and are eco-friendly.
This price review aligns with the recent reinstatement of a customer refund initiative.
Meanwhile, independent marketers have resumed large-scale petrol imports, with over 496 million litres recorded within just nine days, as per the Tanker Position Report obtained from Blue Sea Maritime.
The refinery, which operates from Lekki with a 650,000-barrel-per-day capacity, credited the ongoing naira-for-crude exchange policy for enabling price reductions and pledged to keep pump prices affordable and stable.
Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer Anthony Chiejina reaffirmed the company’s commitment to economic stability and consumer relief.
