Mudashiru Obasa has been reinstated as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly following the resignation of Mojisola Meranda.

Meranda, who stepped down from the speakership on Monday afternoon, has now been re-elected as the Deputy Speaker.
After accepting her new position, Meranda pledged to continue serving the state with dedication and in good faith.
