Gunmen abduct 10 travelers in Ondo in ambush attack

Reports reveal that a group of unknown gunmen has abducted seven travelers in Ondo State.

According to SUNSHINETRUTH News, the victims were journeying from a South-South state to Akure when the gunmen ambushed them along the Owo-Ipele stretch of the Owo-Benin highway over the weekend.

Funmi Odunlami, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, confirmed the abductions, clarifying that seven people were taken, rather than the 10 originally reported.

This incident follows a tragic attack last week in which five farmers were killed at Ajegunle Powerline, located in the Akure North Local Government Area. The perpetrators of that attack are still at large.
