A brief moment of panic broke out on Wednesday afternoon when Kolade Alabi, Chairman of Bariga Local Government and head of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Lagos State, collapsed while speaking at an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ gathering.
The incident occurred around 12:10 p.m. at the APC secretariat on Acme Road in Ikeja.
Alabi was addressing party members when he suddenly slumped, prompting immediate efforts by those present to assist him.
He was quickly attended to and taken to a nearby medical facility for further treatment.
While details of his condition are yet to be officially released, party officials at the venue expressed relief that he received prompt care and wished him a quick recovery.
