Popular Port Harcourt pastor arrested over alleged homosexual activities

A General Overseer of a new-generation church in Eagle Island and Diobu, Port Harcourt, has been arrested and is currently under investigation by the Octopus (C4i) Strike Force unit of the Nigeria Police Force over allegations of homosexuality.

Sources revealed that the pastor, known as “Elijah,” was taken into custody after explicit videos of him engaging in same-sex acts were handed over to the police by a man identified as Patrick.

It was reported that Patrick, who had allegedly been the target of the cleric’s advances, pretended to cooperate and secretly recorded the encounters as evidence.

Following intelligence reports, law enforcement officers tracked the suspect to a popular relaxation spot in Port Harcourt, where he was apprehended and detained for further investigation.

According to insiders, the pastor has allegedly admitted to engaging in homosexual acts with multiple male individuals, including minors, within and outside Port Harcourt.

Confirming the development, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe Koko, stated that an investigation is underway.
