BREAKING: Lagos Speaker Meranda resigns amid tension

Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda has stepped down as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly after serving for 38 days.

As reported by AFRIPOST, her resignation comes just two days after lawmakers affirmed their confidence in her leadership.

The State Assembly has been mired in controversy since the impeachment of former Speaker Mudashiru Obasa.
