JUST IN: Ondo Poly student killed by unknown assailants

A student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO), identified as Oluwaseun, has been gruesomely murdered by unidentified individuals.

The incident reportedly took place at Opomulero Street in Owo, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Oluwaseun, a student in the Department of Mass Communication, had only recently gained admission into the institution.

A fellow student, who requested anonymity, disclosed that the deceased had spent just a few weeks on campus. He was also a course representative and a musician.

“He was a fresher who had been on campus for only three to four weeks. In fact, he was our course representative. It is painful that we lost him so soon. Sadly, he was attacked with a machete,” the source revealed.

Confirming the incident, the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Samuel Ojo, described it as unfortunate.

Details later.
