Manchester City thrash Newcastle as marmoush shines with hat-trick

Manchester City put on a masterclass at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, sweeping aside Newcastle United with a commanding 4-0 victory in the Premier League.

Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush stole the show, netting a sensational first-half hat-trick before James McAtee rounded off the win in the closing minutes.

Marmoush opened the scoring in the 19th minute, capitalizing on a perfectly delivered long ball from goalkeeper Ederson.

Just five minutes later, he doubled his tally, converting a precise assist from Ilkay Gündogan.

City remained relentless, and in the 33rd minute, Marmoush completed his hat-trick after linking up with Savinho.

Newcastle struggled to respond, unable to break through City’s solid defense. Their woes deepened in the 84th minute when Erling Haaland set up McAtee, who calmly slotted home to make it 4-0.

The emphatic win sees Manchester City climb to fourth place in the league table with 44 points, keeping their title ambitions alive.

Meanwhile, Newcastle will need to regroup after a tough night in Manchester.
