Nedu exits Honest Bunch podcast amid controversy

Popular media personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, widely known as Nedu Wazobia, has announced his departure from The Honest Bunch podcast following a heated controversy involving comedian Deeone and social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM).

The dispute erupted after Deeone made claims on the podcast suggesting that VDM was attracted to men. In response, VDM accused Nedu of persistently inviting him to the show since 2024, even allegedly offering to buy him a car. He further claimed that these repeated invitations led to Deeone’s controversial remarks.

VDM, through his lawyer Deji Adeyanju, issued a stern warning to Nedu, threatening to expose alleged dealings involving female celebrities if the situation escalated.

Amid the growing backlash, Nedu took to Instagram to announce his resignation, stating that the controversy had become overwhelming. While acknowledging his time on the podcast as an enriching experience, he cited the increasing scrutiny and negativity as reasons for stepping down.

He emphasized that the decision was necessary for his peace of mind, his family, and to protect the integrity of the podcast.

Expressing gratitude to supporters, Nedu wished the show continued success and hinted at future projects that align with his passion for impactful conversations.
