Ologede, Akure North Constituency-APC, said that the deceased, were engaging in their legitimate means of survival before their senseless and barbaric killing.

The lawmaker, in a statement on Thursday in Akure, described the attacks as dastardly, ruthless, and reprehensible, and demanded immediate action from security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

He offered his heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and pledged to work with authorities to provide support and protection to the affected communities.

The lawmaker also urged the state and federal governments to address the root causes of herder-farmer clashes and find a lasting solution to the menace of herdsmen attacks in the state.

“The killing and shooting of my constituents is a sad and disturbing development that must be condemned by all.

“I urge the security agencies to act swiftly to prevent further attacks and ensure justice is served,” Ologede said.
