BREAKING: Tinubu makes new appointments 

President Bola Tinubu has sanctioned the appointment of Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

Additionally, Senator Adedayo Adeyeye has been appointed by the President as Chairman of the NPA Board.

Dr. Dantsoho earned a Doctorate in Maritime Technology from Liverpool John Moores University in the United Kingdom and a Master’s in International Transport from Cardiff University in Wales, United Kingdom.

Prior to his appointment, Dr. Dantsoho held various roles within the Nigerian Ports Authority, including Assistant General Manager, Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Port Manager of Onne Port, and Principal Manager of Tariff & Billing.

Senator Adeyeye, the newly appointed Board Chairman, brings a wealth of experience as a lawyer, journalist, and politician. He has previously served as Minister of State for Works and represented the Ekiti South Senatorial District in the Senate.

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President, emphasized in a statement that the President expects the new leadership of the NPA to uphold excellence in their duties, ensuring efficient port services and enhanced industry outcomes.
