Insecurity: Southeast governors in closed door meeting

Southeast governors and key stakeholders, including the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe, convened for a closed-door session at the Government House in Enugu on Tuesday.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), all governors from the Southeast region were physically present at the meeting.

The governors in attendance were Alex Otti of Abia, Hope Uzodimma of Imo, Charles Soludo of Anambra, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, and the host governor, Mr. Peter Mbah.

While the specific agenda of the meeting was not disclosed to the press, it is speculated to address issues related to insecurity within the zone, the situation concerning Nnamdi Kanu, and the overall state of affairs in the Southeast.
