The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has started the payment of upkeep allowances for April 2025 to students who qualify under its support scheme.
This development was made known in a statement issued on Monday by the Director of Corporate Communications, Oseyemi Oluwatuyi.
The statement indicated that while most of the payments have already been processed, a few students might experience slight delays.
This, according to the fund, is due to recent upgrades to its payment and application systems—a move aimed at improving security and ensuring more efficient future transactions.
NELFUND emphasized that it is actively engaging with relevant stakeholders to resolve any outstanding issues, with the goal of ensuring that all beneficiaries receive their allowances as soon as possible.
The organization reiterated its commitment to accountability, service excellence, and prompt financial support in line with the principles of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
