Air Peace offers free evacuation, medical care for trafficked Nigerian girls in Ivory Coast

Air Peace has pledged to assist in the return of Nigerian girls trafficked to Ivory Coast, offering free flights and medical treatment upon their return.

The airline’s Chairman, Allen Onyema, made the commitment in a statement, calling for collective action to curb human trafficking, which he condemned as both inhumane and morally wrong.

The alarm over the trafficking of underaged Nigerian girls to Ivory Coast was raised by activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan. In response, Onyema expressed his concern and vowed to help bring the victims back to Nigeria, stressing the airline’s willingness to provide free transportation and medical care for the girls.

Onyema stated, “Trafficking in any form is cruel, heartless, and utterly ungodly. It represents one of the worst examples of human cruelty.”

He continued, “At Air Peace, we are ready to bring these young girls home at no cost. Additionally, we will ensure they receive free medical examination and treatment at Duchess International Hospital in Ikeja.”

Onyema urged the Nigerian Embassy in Ivory Coast to coordinate with Air Peace and facilitate the return of the girls.

He also called on the Nigerian government to take responsibility for their education and assist in reuniting them with their families.
