Security forces repel bandit assaults in Katsina communities

Armed bandits launched two separate attacks on April 11, 2025, in the Malumfashi and Agagiwa areas, but security forces successfully repelled the assailants.

According to intelligence reports shared with Zagazola Makama, the first attack occurred at 9:30 PM in Fanisau Village, Malumfashi Local Government Area.

The report indicated that the DPO of Malumfashi, leading a police patrol team, engaged the bandits in a violent exchange of gunfire, which forced the attackers to retreat.

Later, at around 10:00 PM, authorities received a distress call from Agagiwa Village.

The call indicated that bandits had barricaded the Malumfashi-Funtua Road and opened fire on a motorist.

In response, the DPO swiftly sent an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) to the location, where they confronted the bandits and forced them to flee after another round of gunfire.
