A 53-year-old man, Abubakar Aminu, is wanted by police in Kaduna State for allegedly beating his younger brother, Sani Yusuf, to death in Zaria City.
The violent encounter took place on April 4, 2025, in their home located in the Rimintsiwa neighbourhood.
Reports from security commentator Zagazola Makama indicate that Sani was critically injured and rushed to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) in Shika.
Despite several days of treatment, he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 4:50 a.m. on April 10.
Family members have since buried him in line with local burial rites.
Authorities have declared Aminu a fugitive, and efforts are ongoing to locate and arrest him.
Investigators have categorized the matter as culpable homicide and are probing the circumstances that led to the fatal encounter.
