Afrobeats icon Davido has announced plans to hold a grand white wedding ceremony with his wife, Chioma, in August 2025, with the event slated to take place in Miami, Florida.
The singer made the revelation during an interview on The Breakfast Club, where he spoke candidly about the couple’s journey and what lies ahead. “The white wedding is happening in Miami this August,” Davido said.
“Our traditional ceremony was massive in Nigeria because our relationship has always been in the spotlight. We’ve been through a lot together, including the devastating loss of our child.”
The upcoming celebration will take place nearly a year after their lavish traditional wedding, which was held at Eko Hotels in Lagos in June 2024.
That event drew an exclusive crowd of celebrities, politicians, and close friends.
Reflecting on their relationship, Davido commended Chioma for her unwavering support and discretion, especially during challenging times.
He noted that despite being in the public eye, she has consistently chosen to stay grounded and has never used their relationship for clout.
